 For Douglas Brinker, stories of survival run deep. At only 8 years old, he found his life in danger after colliding with a car on his bicycle. This same scenario replayed out ten years later. It was just the beginning of a series of disasters that nearly ended his life early. At age 10, Douglas was nearly drowned while in the care of a Home for Children. Later in life, re-connection to society after a discharge from the US Navy brought him to his knees, with his first attempt to end it all by Suicide. But, Douglas’ story doesn't end there!
